Wecome to the Excalibur Theatre Arts Company, Northern British Columbia's premiere dance and theatre studio since 1998. Our website is a constant work-in-progress! Until then, if you cannot find what you are looking for, please do not hesitate to Contact Us. STUDIO CLOSED FOR THE SUMMER June 22nd/09 The studio is now CLOSED for the summer months. Registration for the 2009/10 season is ongoing. Though office staff are no longer be available during regular business hours (we return in late August!), please do not hestitate to contact the studio. We will do our best to respond to all email and voicemail in a timely fashion. MY FAIR LADY June 22nd/09 Excalibur's production of My Fair Lady is at the Prince George Playhouse and is receiving rave reviews! The run continues until June 28th, including matinees on Saturday and Sunday. Don't miss it - a theatrical event for the entire family! Group rates available. Call Studio 2880 for ticket information, 250-563-2880. RECITAL A SUCCSS! June 16/09 Excalibur's Year End Recital was a huge success! The dancers had a great time and all four performances enjoyed large, receptive audiences. Thank you to all who attended, and congratulations to all of Excalibur's dancers! You did a fantastic job. You should be very proud of yourselves! Pre-registration has begun! May 5/09 Pre-registration for Excalibur's 2009/2010 dance season is now underway. Sign up for next season before June 13th and save 15% off September dance fees. You not only save money, you also guarantee your student a place in class and avoid the dreaded "registration rush" come late August. The 09/10 schedule has undergone a final update, and it now 99.9% set in stone (barring any unforseen conflicts). Remember, class sizes are limited. The sooner you visit the office, the better! Call 250-564-6326 or email for additional details. Year End Recital Tickets, Selling Fast May 5/09 Tickets for our Year End Recital at the Prince George Playhouse are selling fast. In fact, our morning performance of "Broadway Babies" is already sold out! The afternoon show "Future Stars" is nearing capacity, as well. If you have not already purchased your tickets, do not wait! Seating has become extremely limited. Once a performance is sold out, there's little we can do to accommodate additional seating. Tentative Schedule Update April 30/09 The tentative 09/10 class schedule has been updated. 2009/2010 Class Schedule April 22/09 The 09/10 schedule in now available for viewing. Please note, the schedule may undergo minor changes prior to September 2009 as issues and conflicts arise and times are set in stone. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience, should this occur. YEAR END RECITAL, TICKETS ON SALE April 15/09 08/09 RECITAL TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE IN THE OFFICE! SATURDAY, JUNE 13th at the Prince George Playhouse. There are three performances: Broadway Babies at 11am, featuring our youngest students. Regular seating is $10, students and children under 12 are $5. Future Stars (3pm) and Raising the Barre (7pm) feature our up and coming recreational dancers and our advanced and senior Troupe dancers. Regular seating for both performances is $13 and and $9 for students/children. Children 4 and under are free for all performances (must be seated in adults lap). Ticket prices do not include GST. IMPORTANT: These events always sell out. Once the venue is full, there is nothing we can do to accommodate additional seating (it's against the fire code and against the law). Studio Closed for spring break! Mar 12/09 Reminder, the studio is CLOSED for Spring Break as of Monday, March 16th. Classes resume on Monday, March 23rd. Please note, classes are in session this upcoming Saturday, March 14th. Enjoy the break! "MY FAIR LADY" Auditions Jan 20/09 Excalibur is proud to announce auditions for their upcoming production of Lerner & Loewe's musical masterpiece, MY FAIR LADY. Sunday, January 25th from 5-8pm at the Excalibur studios. Auditions will occur on a first come, first serve basis. Everyone is welcome, ages 10 to adult. Men, women and children. Dancers, singer and actors needed! Please prepare a short Broadway showtune. You must bring your own sheet music (this is mandatory), as piano accompaniment will be provided. The production is scheduled for June 2009. 2009! New Year, New Classes Dec 30/08 With 2009 looming, the updated schedule has been released. A number of new classes have been added, catering to demand for specific disciplines. We are also accepting registration for the majority of scheduled beginner classes (many currently in session, call for details). See the most recent schedule here. Classes new in 2009 are listed as "New!", with sessions beginning the week of Monday, January 12th. Though the studio is closed until January 5th, we are currently accepting registration. Dec 20/08 Every year Excalibur hosts a dinner and dance celebrating Robbie Burns ~ a famous Scottish poet. This special evening will be held on Friday, January 23rd at the Coast Inn of the North, and will include a full roast beef dinner, a silent auction, 50/50 draw, fabulous Excalibur entertainment, and a dance to follow. This event is always guaranteed fun for people of all ages! Tickets are the perfect Christmas gift, available in the Excalibur office. Please contact us for more info. |
