Tap was created combining elements of African drumming and dancing with the techniques of European Clog and Step dancing. Percussive footwork distinguishes Tap from all other forms of dance based on. Students will learn rhythm, coordination and self-awareness through technical tap steps and fun, lively choreography.

  • Select the appropriate Register link to begin your registration process.
  • The Wait List link indicates that a class has reached maximum enrollment, in which case wait listed students are given first consideration should a spot become available. Joining a wait list is free of charge.
  • [ON HOLD] classes are temporarily delayed due to low enrollment--this includes new classes recently added to the schedule. Joining an [ON HOLD] class delays your initial payment: No fees will process until the class reaches the required minimum enrollment.
  • Classes displaying a blank Register column are no longer accepting new students or are otherwise restricted. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience. If necessary, please contact office staff to discuss alternative enrollment options. NOTE: Classes listed as (Drop-In) do NOT require enrollment, and therefore have no “Register” link.

Following the submission of your online registration form, you will be contacted via email (usually within three business days) to confirm outstanding fees. The amount owing will then process on a date indicated in the email confirmation, using the billing method selected during registration. See below for additional information regarding tuition, costume, and registration fees.

The Season

The 1st semester of the 2018/19 season begins on Tuesday, September 4th, 2018. The 2nd semester begins on Monday, January 7th, 2019. The season ends on Saturday, June 15th, 2019 (the date of our final recital performance). Unless otherwise noted, classes run the entire 10 month season provided minimum enrollment is maintained.

Though our season lasts for 10 months, from September to June, registration does NOT commit you to the entire season. Students are free to add classes, transfer to a new class, and/or withdraw from class at any time.

Fees / Monthly Tuition

Initial fees are due at the time of registration. Tuition fees are then due on the 1st of each subsequent month. Initial fees include the first month's tuition, a $25 registration fee per family, and a $40 costume fee per student/per class (costumes are provided for annual recital performances). Listed fees (tuition, costume, and registration) DO NOT include GST, taxes are additional. Families will be discounted for multiple students/classes.

Equal Payment Plan

Tuition fees are calculated as part of an “equal” payment plan (also known as a “balanced” or “averaged” payment plan). Fees are calculated by determining the total cost of the season, minus all studio closures, divided equally across the 10 month period between September 2018 and June 2019. The registrant will pay the same fee each month regardless of how many classes are attended. Note that all scheduled closures are subtracted prior to the calculation of fees, thus reducing the average tuition.

Costume Fee

We have experienced, professional seamstresses who do all of the work on your behalf--no sewing required! These costumes are rentals, to be worn during recital. The $40 fee covers both annual performances ($20 per recital, per class). Some classes do NOT require a costume fee (highland and adult classes, for example). Classroom attire remains the responsibility of the student.

When multiple classes share the same name, each class is assigned a number (in brackets). For instance, Junior Ballet (1) and Junior Ballet (2). These numbers exist only to differentiate the classes on the schedule and have no impact on student placement.
