TROUPE A
Excalibur Troupe dancers travel to festivals, competitions, and workshops, showcasing their talent alongside the best in western Canada. For those with the passion and the willingness to dedicate themselves to dance, the rewards can be great--but the life of a troupe dancer requires hard work and commitment from both student and family. The rehearsal schedule is demanding, as are the expectations. It may not be for everyone, but for those who do commit to the challenge, the sense of camaraderie and accomplishment are well worth the time and effort!
Upon submission of an online registration form, tuition fees shall be posted to your account. These fees will NOT process immediately. Within three (3) business days, you will be notified via email of the amount owing, including any additional fees and discounts. Initial fees will then process on a date indicated in the email confirmation.
IMPORTANT: Troupe admission is by audition only. If you have not received special permission to enroll in troupe classes, please do NOT attempt to process a troupe registration. Thank you!
NOTE: Listed tuition fees DO NOT include GST, taxes are additional. Families will be discounted for multiple students/classes.
The Season
The 1st semester of our 2019/20 season begins on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019. The 2nd semester begins on Monday, January 6th, 2020. The season ends on Saturday, June 20th, 2020.
Expanded Calendar
Our 2019/20 calendar offers more dance time than ever before! This is especially true for Monday and Saturday classes, which often receive fewer lessons due to long weekend closures. Over the course of the season, students will enjoy more dance, more fun, and more valuable classroom time to develop skills and technique.
Fees / Monthly Tuition
Initial fees are due at the time of registration. Tuition fees are then due on the 1st of each subsequent month. Tuition fees are listed above (not including taxes and/or discounts). Initial fees include the first month's tuition and a $30 registration fee per family. Troupe costume fees are invoiced at a later date, they are NOT due at the time of registration.
Equal Payment Plan
Tuition fees are calculated as part of an “equal” payment plan (also known as a “balanced” or “averaged” payment plan). Fees are calculated by determining the total cost of the season, minus all studio closures, divided equally across the 10 month period between September 2019 and June 2020. The registrant pays the same fee each month regardless of how many classes are attended. Note that all scheduled closures are subtracted prior to the calculation of fees, thus reducing the average monthly tuition.
Additional Info
The majority of troupe information is detailed in separate documentation distributed to families enrolled in the program. This includes a breakdown of additional costs, competition info, important deadlines, expectations for communication and participation, as well as a statement of the required commitment.
