Feedback Wanted

Posted: Sep 10, 2014

The first week and a half has flown by and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. That said, if you have any questions or concerns regarding the current state of your class, studio policies, or anything whatsoever, please do not hesitate to contact us. Communication is key to a successful studio and we want to hear from you!

With the season only just beginning, our first priority is to find a place for every child who wishes to dance. As is to be expected, not every class is full, and some are even short of minimum required enrollment. We prefer to run these "short classes" for at least a few weeks during the month of September, to accommodate late registrations and hopefully attract additional students. If you are part of a short class (generally with three or fewer dancers), expect to be contacted in the near future.

Keeping a short class running is a team effort! We will do our best to promote classes that require enrollment, and you can do your part by inviting potential students to attend a session FOR FREE. We love to see dancers bringing friends to class for a trial session, so please feel free to do so, especially if it's a short class that requires registration (which continues throughout the month of September).

We are often asked about adult classes, and this season we are happy to offer two that have proven very popular in the past: adult tap and Zumba!

The tap class is held on Thursday nights at 7:30pm, and requires a registration and monthly payment as normal. It's a lot of fun for those looking to learn a discipline, and to work on technique and choreography with a group, and has been hugely popular in recent years. If you are interested, please let us know ASAP, as the class is currently short and requires a few more tappers to bump up the numbers.

Zumba, on the other hand, is a drop in class. No commitment, no registration required, simply come when you can and enjoy the workout! Zumba takes place Wednesday nights at 7:30pm in the back building and is $10 per session (that includes the GST). The office is closed by that time of night, so be sure to bring payment (cash or cheque made payable to "Excalibur") to give directly to the instructor, as they will not have access to credit or debit facilities. Zumba is a unique fusion of aerobics and Latin dance, and it's a LOT of fun! Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience and fitness level.

Thank you!
